Megan Taylor Forrest (b. 1994) is an artist based in Missouri. Her practice is situated in documentary photography as a means of gaining a deeper understanding of individual and collective experiences through poetic and intimate visual storytelling. Since 2019, Megan has been working toward her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts at the University of Missouri. During this time her work was included in six exhibitions both locally and nationally and was nominated and selected for the Tim Williams Visual Arts Scholarship Honoring Lifelong Learning.
In September 2025, Megan was granted exclusive access inside of a maximum security prison where she deploys her visual storytelling practice, documenting acts of worship, daily life and personal testimonies of incarcerated believers. Megan completed her degree program in December and is continuing her project within the Department of Corrections.
